This course will give you a deeper understanding of Universal Design for Learning, with a focus on practices that support student engagement. This course is designed for learners who are already familiar with the Universal Design for Learning framework and want ways to bring specific practices into their instruction. This course is the first in a series diving deeper into Universal Design for Learning.

• Participants will need a computer with Internet access

Learning Experience

• Learn: Explain the importance of UDL Engagement and identify the three big ways of supporting student engagement using Universal Design for Learning practices
• Do: Explore a BetterLesson strategy linked to one of these ways of supporting student engagement
• Call to Action: Implement use of that strategy to improve their alignment with UDL practices to provide multiple means of engagement
