Each element showcases individual focus areas designed to help districts achieve the goals in their strategic professional learning plan. BetterLesson works with your district to assemble a comprehensive professional learning program with focus areas to support specific, measurable teaching and learning outcomes.

BetterLesson was created by educators, for educators, to support teachers and leaders with professional learning that gives every student the chance to succeed. Our team of Learning Designers identified four elements of essential skills needed to create student-centered classrooms.
All leaders need to build systems and processes that support sustained teaching and learning changes.
All students need to learn in safe, responsive classroom environments.
Educators need flexible ways to plan for and deliver content to meet the needs of all learners.
All students need equitable and consistent access to high quality curriculum.
In Tennessee, Rutherford County Schools wanted to transform curriculum implementation across 26 schools. Together, BetterLesson and district leaders crafted a comprehensive plan to support teachers and leaders in implementing OUR Resources and addressing other district goals. Through the creation of a focused professional learning plan that worked toward solving multiple challenges, student outcomes for elementary students improved throughout the district.
