Overview

In a student-centered learning environment, we need assessments that are fair, authentic, and formative. Assessment can be a tool for learning, feedback and motivation, but without the proper systems in place, they often fail to help leaders make strategic decisions and gain feedback. In this 2-hour virtual workshop, participants will explore ways to use data, assessment, and stakeholder feedback to assess progress in student learning.

Audience

This session is designed to support school and district leaders such as coaches, teacher leaders, principals, and district administrators who play key roles in leading flexible learning environments. 

Specifications

• 3 hours In-Person, or 2 hours Virtual
• Participants will need a computer with access to Zoom, a camera, a microphone, and stable Internet connectivity

• Define the four purposes of assessment and what could change now
• Explore how to effectively collect data from reliable tools and feedback from stakeholders
• Build and get peer feedback on their data dashboard plan
