Overview
This workshop is designed to serve as your learning community’s introduction to the OUR Math K-5 Curriculum. Participants will have the opportunity to dive into the curriculum from a student perspective and use this experience to explore how the curriculum is designed for a problem-based approach to math instruction. In this workshop, participants will work together to develop comfort with the design and structure of curricular resources, and confidence in planning effectively.

Learning Experience
- Define the key characteristics of a problem-based math curriculum and contrast these characteristics with other approaches
- Explore the structure of activities, lessons, and units
- Explore the instructional routines, assessments, and centers built into the curriculum
- Build a plan for implementing Unit 1 of the curriculum with their students
