Overview
This course is the first of a 3-part Introduction series designed to help you implement the Open Up Resources 6-8 Math Curriculum. In this course, you will build an understanding of the curriculum: how it is structured to support student learning, what a typical lesson looks like, and how the curriculum materials are organized. This course is designed for teachers, instructional coaches, and leaders new to the curriculum, teachers who need a refresher of the curriculum structure, or teachers who missed the launch workshop.

Learning Experience
- LEARN: Participants will learn what a problem-based math curriculum is, how this curriculum supports student learning, and how a lesson and activity are structured.
- DO: Participants will explore a scenario using the curriculum and the materials of the curriculum.
- CALL TO ACTION: Participants will reflect and synthesize their experience identifying a concrete next step.
