Overview
Language is essential for students to successfully engage in problem-based mathematics. For multilingual learners and students developing language, teachers can intentionally integrate language support directly within their instruction so that all students can achieve the lesson goals. In this workshop, participants will explore scaffolds and strategies that address the language demands within an IM lesson and collaboratively plan a lesson that integrates these supports to enhance learning and ensure language is leveraged as an asset.
