Overview
In this course, you will build an awareness of how IM K-5 Math is designed to engage English learners in meaningful, grade-level mathematics and how you can intentionally plan to support students’ math development through language. This course is designed for anyone using IM K-5 math with English learners.

- Participants will need a computer with Internet access
Learning Experience
- LEARN: Participants will learn to recognize the embedded features of a lesson to support English Language Learners. Participants will learn about the key characteristics of this curriculum including the Mathematical Language Routines (MLRs).
- DO: Participants will explore specific strategies to support English Language Learners with this curriculum.
- CALL TO ACTION: Participants will reflect on how to continue to make meaningful, rigorous mathematical lessons accessible for all students and identify a potential next step.
