Meaningful learning tasks are crucial for student engagement and ownership, especially for early career teachers building their instructional practices. Designing effective tasks can feel overwhelming, but it’s essential for fostering a positive learning environment. In this workshop, participants will explore how to create student-centered tasks that introduce new material, encourage group work, and drive meaningful discussions and assessments.

Audience

This workshop is intended to support teachers in implementing blended learning by effective learning tasks in their in-person classrooms. Leaders and coaches could also benefit from this session to gain ideas on how to best support their teachers in implementation.

Specifications

• 3 hours In-Person, or 2 hours Virtual
• Participants will need a computer with access to Zoom, a camera, a microphone, and stable Internet connectivity
