Distance Learning Reimagined

Personalized, job-embedded support to help educators deliver rigorous, student-centered distance learning

Distance learning is new for many, but it doesn't have to be intimidating. Online, blended, and flexible learning environments engage students and build content mastery. We help you help students.

The coronavirus pandemic and resulting school shutdowns have created an incredibly challenging moment for educators. Yet this crisis is also an opportunity to reimagine learning for all students.

BetterLesson is building on more than a decade of expertise in virtual professional development to offer urgent support to teachers and leaders around the country as they rapidly shift to supporting students at a distance. Through student-centered pedagogy, experienced coaches and high-quality instructional materials, we help educators move from ideas to action.

Self-Directed Course and Certification - Coming Soon!

BetterLesson is rapidly translating its Virtual Learning Sessions into two self-directed course experiences (Foundations of Distance Learning and Student-Centered Distance Learning), with the option of receiving a certification for completion. This will allow K12 teachers to access and master the material at their own pace and need.

Distance Learning Virtual Sessions

Each Virtual Learning Session explores one of the focus areas to the right.  1:1 Coaching allows participants to flexibly chart their own path, getting just-in-time support for their specific challenges.

Flexible Learning Community

We have created a Facebook group for educators to share strategies, questions, and challenges as they adapt from distance learning to more flexible models. We invite school and district leaders, instructional coaches, and teachers to join!

“The BetterLesson facilitators were excellent. They modeled how to build community and make the lesson interactive and participatory, even through the digital platform.”
