Our learning plans include distinct phases of implementation to support this change across your district.
Launch the Odell Education curriculum at your district with an in-person experience that’s designed to provide an introduction to the curriculum and support all educators to take ownership in a successful launch. Teachers, instructional leaders, and building leaders will work together to develop a foundational understanding of the Odell curriculum and begin making a plan for bringing new literacy instruction practices into the classroom.
Educators will join an interactive Virtual Workshop to review the Odell curriculum’s guiding principles and begin developing next steps for implementation. Participants will also go through a unit planning process that outlines how to strategically plan for student success. Leaders work with an executive coach to learn how to best support teachers during curriculum adoption and planning.
Leaders can better support teachers using the Odell curriculum when they know what positive outcomes look like in the classroom and can make informed, data-driven decisions about their professional learning programs. Learning Walks are a guided non-evaluative experience that helps leaders observe classrooms, identify trends in practice, and use that information to offer their teachers personalized support.
Teachers are matched with a curriculum instructional coach in order to plan lessons using the Odell Education curriculum, try new practices, and measure the impact for students. Using the Try-Measure-Learn approach, coaches provide personalized support to help teachers work towards outcomes and align teaching practices to support implementation and adoption of the Odell Education curriculum.
