Overview
Close Reading is a process of careful, analytical reading. It involves repeated reading, text-based discussion, and written analysis of a complex text. In this workshop, participants will define the characteristics of close reading, including text-dependent questioning. They will then explore close reading examples in lessons and have an opportunity to plan for an upcoming close reading lesson.
