In this workshop, participants will define what success looks like in different genres of writing. They will explore the writing process and effective writing strategies and scaffolds within different genres to lay the foundation for strong writing. They will use a Skills Checklist based on CCSS and/or state Writing Standards and the writing process to begin planning a genre-based writing unit.
