Overview
In this course, you will build an understanding of the factors that influence students’ beliefs about math and themselves as mathematicians, then explore strategies that create positive math learning experiences. This course is designed for K-12 teachers and instructional coaches who teach or support mathematics.

Learning Experience
- Learn: The factors that students may influence a student’s ability or willingness to persevere through challenging math tasks. Approaches that positively shift students’ understanding of themselves as mathematicians and about mathematics.
- Do: Evaluate scenarios where students are struggling to complete a task and explore strategies to address those influences.
- Call to Action: Reflect and select a strategy to try in an upcoming lesson.
