Overview

All students learn math through and with language. Providing students with the opportunity to make sense of tasks with appropriate scaffolding and instructional support fosters both mathematical ideas and amplifies language use. In this 2-hour virtual workshop, we will delve into routines and planning processes that support students in making sense of mathematical concepts.

Outcome

I create an environment that encourages students to communicate their mathematical thinking with each other.

Specifications

• 3 hours In-Person, or 2 hours Virtual
• Participants will need a computer with access to Zoom, a camera, a microphone, and stable Internet connectivity
