The 5 Practices for Orchestrating Productive Mathematical Discussions ask teachers to balance various student ideas along with the learning goals of a lesson in real time. The success of this work depends on proactively planning for student thinking prior to the actual lesson. In this second 2-hour virtual workshop, teachers will unpack the first 2 practices of anticipating and monitoring student strategies to facilitate productive mathematical discourse.
