Effective literacy instruction is crucial for helping adolescent students develop the skills needed to succeed both academically and in the workforce. In this workshop, participants will do a deep dive into what the Science of Reading can teach us about effective literacy instruction in the adolescent classroom. They will explore components of research-based comprehensive literacy programs, including the importance of disciplinary literacy, evaluate their current practice, and plan for implementation. This workshop is designed for a 6-12 audience.
