Pacing and Refining Practice in Module Lessons

Overview

Implementing a new curriculum can take several years, with teachers needing to refine their practice at each step. In this workshop, participants will reflect on their current Module Lesson teaching practice, including successes and struggles. They will explore common pacing issues and ways to troubleshoot and refine instruction, and then build a plan for troubleshooting their most pressing pacing and/or practice problem.

I plan for Module lessons based on curriculum supports and student needs.

Specifications

• 3 hours In-Person, or 2 hours Virtual
• Participants will need a computer with access to Zoom, a camera, a microphone, and stable Internet connectivity

• Explore strategies and planning resources to guide instructional decision-making and manage lesson pacing.
• Build a plan to make adjustments for pacing in an upcoming EL Module Lesson.”
