Overview

This course is the first of a 3-part introduction series designed to help you implement the Open Up K-5 Math Curriculum. In this course, you will learn about the big picture of the curriculum: how it is structured to support student learning, what a typical lesson looks like, and how the curriculum materials are organized.

  • Course 1: Introduction to the Curriculum Part 1: Curriculum Overview
  • Course 2: Introduction to the Curriculum Part 2: Exploring the Components of a Lesson
  • Course 3: Introduction to the Curriculum Part 3: Exploring the Components of a Unit

By the end of this first course, educators will be able to:

  • Envision a typical lesson from the curriculum

  • Describe the key characteristics of the curriculum

  • Explain how to access different curriculum materials
