Overview

Problem-based instruction is driven by student ideas and strategies that arise when they work on rich mathematical tasks. Teachers create the conditions to solicit these ideas and intentionally use them as part of learning for the whole class. In this workshop of the virtual launch series, participants focus on how activities are structured and how the embedded 5 Practices guidance provides a framework for organizing activities for student discussion and learning.

Outcome

I use the curriculum resources and structures in Kiddom to teach math with a problem-based approach.
