Overview

Deep mathematical understanding goes beyond memorization; it’s about students grasping the why behind the what. Teachers build conceptual understanding by advancing students’ current understanding with intentional activities, purposeful questioning, and making connections across representations. In this workshop, participants will explore effective strategies for buildig conceptual understanding and plan an activity to deepen their own students’ learning.

I engage and support students in lessons that promote reasoning and problem-solving.

  • Participants will need a computer with access to Zoom, a camera, a microphone, and stable Internet connectivity
