Overview

Problem-based curriculums are carefully crafted to tell a mathematical story that helps students develop conceptual understanding and build procedural fluency over time. To bring this to life, teachers need to understand the learning progression of a unit and how the lessons are sequenced to facilitate student learning in this way. In this full-day workshop, we will trace the learning of an upcoming unit and plan to facilitate instruction based on our understanding of the unit goals and materials.
