Overview
These coaching sessions will help Newsela champions utilize what they know and love about Newsela and share it more widely with educators in their school and district in order to improve outcomes for students.
Specifications
- Bi-weekly, 30 Minute virtual session scheduled directly with a BetterLesson Coach
- 4 Session Coaching Packs around one topic (tied to a virtual workshop) or Targeted (half-year) and Unlimited Coaching with flexibility is available
- Participants will need a computer with access to Zoom, a camera, a microphone, and stable Internet connectivity
- Participants will register for access with the BetterLesson Lab
- Participants will schedule 1:1 coaching calls with their coach
Outcomes
As a result of 4 session coaching, participants will…
- Define “internal champion” when working with Newsela
- Determine what they want to share with other educators (could be content, craft or both)
- Determine and plan for how to share the information and follow up most efficiently given their context
- Reflect on experience and continue to build ways to be an “Internal Newsela Champion”
