This series of three 2-hour virtual workshops will provide leaders with a foundational understanding of what makes the OUR 6-8/IM 6-12 Math curriculum unique. Leaders will work together to think through the change management required by the shift to problem-based math instruction, and each participant will use design thinking to map out their own individual plans to support the success of the curriculum in their context.
This workshop is part of a series. Explore the other workshop sessions below:
This Virtual Learning Series is designed for school and district leaders working with educators who are planning to or have recently transitioned to using the OUR 6-8/IM 6-12 Math curriculum. It is also a powerful learning experience for leaders of schools who have been using the curriculum for 1-2 years and are still working toward leveraging the curriculum materials to their full potential for student learning.
I systematically support teachers to use the curriculum’s problem-based structures to support student learning.
In this session school leaders will be introduced to a process for collecting, synthesizing, and responding to school-wide data in order to assess progress in curriculum implementation. During the session, participants will begin to unpack and practice with an observation tool aligned with the OUR 6-8/IM 6-12 Math Curriculum.
