Introducing Inconsistent & Dependent Systems

Unit 3: Systems of Equations and Inequalities
Lesson 9 of 17

Objective: SWBAT solve systems of equations that have no solution or an infinite number of solutions. SWBAT generate a context for systems of equations and use that context to understand inconsistent and dependent systems.

Big Idea: Wait a second! Students explore what happens when there are no solutions that satisfy a system of equations as well as what happens when there are an infinite number of solutions.
