Fact or Opinion Game

Objective: SWBAT identify facts and opinions by playing a game.
To give student additional practice distinguishing between fact and opinion, we played the Fact and Opinion game. I found this center activity on the following website: FCRR. Students had a great deal of fun playing the game. They enjoyed it so much they started keeping score.
The game board was comprised of fact and opinion statements. Two students took turns rolling a die and moving a game piece the number of spaces shown on the die. They read the statement they landed on and stated whether it was a fact or opinion. If the answer was correct, they moved forward. If not, the game piece remained on the previous space. The game was over once they reached the end.
