#### Warm-up

Each day, students complete a warm-up that usually consists of spiraling the previous day's material, in addition to older material. Warm-up problems also sometimes extend lessons that students have encountered before to more unfamiliar contexts.

Occasionally, I use a quick warm-up on test days to "pre-test" students on concepts that they might be shaky on, as one last way to solidify their understanding. They are based on previous year's data and my own analysis of the most common misunderstandings, and provide a much better assessment and review than, "so, before the test, are there any questions?"
