At this point in the year, I wanted to experiment with driving procedural fluency. In this case, I wanted to not only work on a speed drill - for example, single-digit multiplication facts - but also see, in a teacher-as-researcher moment, whether or not fluency is correlated with math average overall. Please see the reflection section for a discussion of the results of this informal experiment.
