## Reflection: ELL Students Multiplication Using The Commutative Property - Section 4: Closure

Explaining this concept can be very confusing for ELL students, and I provided sentences for the students in my class. This is a support that helps them focus on the math concept without getting stuck of the mathematical terms and meanings of array, rows, columns, and rotate.  Their understanding of the concept was shown with drawings and number sentences.

The square tile array rotated when I switched the order of the numbers.  The answer in the number sentence stays the ___________.
