Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Find the Equivalent Customary Unit - Section 3: Closure

Sometimes our directions are not always clear to students.  In this particular lesson, I thought I gave clear and precise directions.  Apparently, I did not.  As the students began working on finding equivalent units of measure, I noticed the confused look on quite a few faces.  Finally, one student asked, "What are we supposed to do?"

I must make sure in the future that I always ask, "Are they any questions?" before letting the students work on their group activities.  We can clear up any confusion before too much time is wasted.
