## Reflection: Student Ownership Fractions: Halves and Fourths & Quarters - Section 2: Whole Group Interaction

One reason I like the anchor chart so much is it allows the kids to create something that is their own and they can keep. Many teachers create anchor charts to hang up in the classroom and get caught up in the art of the creation. I like that the kids create this anchor chart themselves with their own visual imagery to represent what they have learned about fractions. It will mean more to them and be a more authentic experience.
