Reflection: Student Ownership Hyperbole - Section 3: Creating Hyperboles


Students were able to come up with their own hyperboles and draw imagery to represent their hyperboles.  Although the picture images show the literal translation, students were able to deduct the figurative meaning of their expressions.  This task was made easier by viewing some model examples of hyperboles prior to designing students' own hyperboles.  The results of viewing concrete examples first led to very creative results, as evident by this Hyperbole student sample.
