Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Stereotypical and Iconic Images Depicted in Drama: Baseball and the N-Word in Fences, Act 1 Scene 1 - Section 4: Engagement (Jigsaw Activity)


Recognizing that I had lost fifteen minutes between the Warmup and the Share, I decided to eliminate the Share from the lesson. In addition, the school's copy machine has been malfunctioning recently. Consequently, I did not have the quotations for for Activity #2 of the Jigsaw N word.doc. So, I modified the Jigsaw N word.doc to focus on Activity #1 and Activity #2, and changed the questions for Activity #1 of the Jigsaw N word.doc

Each group worked for ten minutes on an activity and the teams spent about 10 minutes sharing their results with the class.
