Reflection: Student Grouping Western Influences on Chinua Achebe: The Second Coming and Things Fall Apart (Day 1 of 2) - Section 3: Building Knowledge: What is the Second Coming?

The new groups did not go so well.  Once we finished the vocabulary and started talking about the poem, so groups just shut down while in other groups on person dominated.  I had to adjust the student groups in order to complete the activity.  I felt it was more important to process the poem then to stop and address group dynamics.  I will have to address it at some point.
