Reflection: Gradual Release Answering Text Explicit Questions Through Skimming - Section 4: You Do/ I Monitor

In this section, I felt it was important to allow the students to try on their own. Although i was in their presence, I only offered a little guidance but mostly questioning to help focus their thinking. Similar to training wheels, I wanted to make sure they didn't fall but at the same time I wanted them to get a feel of how to use the strategies so as they became more comfortable, we could take of the training wheels.
