Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Deepening our understanding - Section 2: Using Hands on Equations to deepen their understanding of Algebra


As students work on developing a conceptual understanding of the Distributive property, I also like them to write the Algebraic way of solving equations. This will help some students make the leap to the more abstract way of writing equations yet it won't confuse the students because they are using the visual to help them do this.
