Reflection: Checks for Understanding Revising and Sharing Vocabulary Stories and Reviewing Grammatical Rules (Day 2 of 2) - Section 3: What's the Difference Between Who and Whom?

The worksheet was adequate. By the end of it, the students understood the differences and when to use which word, but I'm not sure that the lesson will stick. It worked in the moment, but I'm looking for lasting knowledge. I think I'm going to try to work daily reminders into the class schedule for the next few days. When I asked about when to use the word whom, one student said that's a word that Shakespeare uses, basically saying that real people in the real world don't use it. He may be right, to a certain extent, but if I use these words casually, or almost casually, they will seem more commonplace and less Shakespearean and therefore foreign.
