## Reflection: Performance Tasks My Unique Perimeter Performance Task - Section 3: Share Out

I am using student work today as a perimeter performance task. Students were able to create various shapes and a variety of strategies to solve for perimeter. This activity gives me a good picture of where each student is in the development of their skills to find the perimeter of polygons. It also shows areas where students may have remaining misconceptions. As we are moving to area next, I want to ensure that students have had ample time and opportunity to use perimeter, to understand what "perimeter" means, and how to find it in a variety of experiences and forms before I make the connection to area.
