Lesson 5 of 5
Objective: SWBAT to demonstrate their knowledge of the meaning of the most common prefixes and derivational suffixes.
Students were presented with two types of questions on this on this test. I assessed their ability to decipher the specific meaning of prefixes and suffixes. For example, re- means again, so recount means to count again. I also tested their ability to decipher the meaning of a word by using the prefix or suffix. For example, fearless means brave instead of the answer choice, without fear.
