Reflection: Intrinsic Motivation Polar Express Verbs - Section 3: Assessing the Task


This game is extremely fun for kids; nevertheless, it is also informative for the teacher!  This game really tests students' knowledge of vocabulary and also of shades of meaning!  While students are moving about, they are also learning new words and experiencing the nuances of meaning that they can then transfer to their speaking and writing!  This lesson can sometimes be a little tough for kids, but their intrinsic motivation to please their teacher through fun movement and understanding of words will really keep them going!
