Reflection: Routines and Procedures Question: Do You Know Your Question Words? - Section 4: Follow Up and Extension of the Lesson


In order for students to really own question words, I make sure to remind them of the WH- words often.  In the beginning of the year, when I ask or talk about questions, students typically need some reminders.  With that being said, I have reference charts that I use in my room.  One of the resources is a chart that I made for when I initially teach question words.  The other resource is a set of flashcards that I downloaded for free from Roller English on TeachersPayTeachers.  These two resources hang in my room, year-round, to remind students that question words are indeed words that we need to relay a specific type of message.
