Reflection: Connection to Prior Knowledge Text Structure: Problem & Solution - Section 1: Advanced Organizer

Recalling what we already know was a great way to start today's lesson.  It woke them up and got them engaged and set up for the learning we were going to be doing today.

I would say about 90% of the students were able to recall all the structures we have studied and were able to give an accurate description of each structure.  They are really showing mastery with this concept and have been doing very well.

I only had a few students struggle and that was mostly with writing down the descriptions. They could describe it verbally, but had trouble putting into sentences.

Overall, it was an effective way to set them up for today's learning!
