## Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Parallel Lines Intersected by a Transversal - Section 1: Do Now

As students were beginning the Do Now, I realized they didn't remember exactly how to construct a line parallel to a line through a point not on the line. At first, I instructed them to refer back to their notes from the unit on constructions. This worked for some of the students, but others still needed more of a refresher. I called one of the students who was able to perform the construction up to the document camera to show and explain the steps while I wrote the steps on the white board. This helped the other students construct the parallel lines.
