Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Modeling 3D Figures - Section 2: Lesson Middle

The modeling clay was a hit. I relented and gave a few minutes to play with it and work with it before we focused on math. Building the different perspectives were easy after they "played". My students seemed to take their work very seriously because they got the play out of their systems before they started working.

Modeling 3D Figures

Unit 3: Geometric Measurement
Lesson 3 of 5

Objective: Students will be able to use what they know about 3D figures to create models of figures.

Big Idea: This lesson is awesome because it allows students to apply what they have learned and create some 3D figures and cut them apart to see the cross section. Students will also have an opportunity to review vocabulary in this lesson.
