Reflection: Lesson Planning Selecting Appropriate Graphic Organizers - Section 3: Closure

Although I see value in all of the activities we did today, I really got a kick out of observing the kids complete the Closure activity on the Parts of Speech.

The earlier task of looking at information and finding out how to make it fit into organizers was definitely complex.  As I walked around to help them, I had to really concentrate with some.  Having said that, it was an excellent practice activity.

It made the Closure activity all the better.  It was as if the kids set free from prison, by the sound of things.  When they were all given the same text, but the chance to organize it in any way they wanted, it was a huge breath of fresh air.  This was a great activity that I will use separate of this lesson in the future.  I know it was good practice.
