Reflection: High Expectations Round Up or Down? - Section 3: Practice

I expect my students to show their work on all assignments. In the beginning of the year I show them how to record so that they understand my expectations. Today, I required that they record both rounding methods shown them. Eventually I will allow them to choose the strategy most useful for them when they show their work in rounding. It is also important for students to understand that when working problems, showing their steps to track and check their work as the tasks become more complex.
