Reflection: Intrinsic Motivation Distributive Property, Day 2 - Section 4: Closing

Although it took awhile to get to this point, the students were so excited to be able to efficiently use a strategy to mentally solve relatively complex math problems!  I was so excited during the close when we were solving some of the equations.

The boy in the first video is a different learner and has found his joy in math. He is speaking more, working out problems, and rising to the occasion.  It just proves that difficult tasks can be engaging if the work is done as slowly and systematically as students need.
