Reflection: Student Ownership Using Peers and Published Texts to Enhance our Writing - Section 3: Independent Practice

As my student Mya explained for a different lesson, making time for students to give each other feedback is very important for student ownership. Although I wanted them to get to writing today, I was flexible in order to give them the time they needed to peer edit. I did not want to rush them through the process. However, I did have them goal set for homework so that they would have time to finish tomorrow in class with my guidance.
