Reflection: Grappling with Complexity Irons in the Fire: 3rd Close Read - Section 3: Burning Bright: Finish Up and Sharing


So, this being my first foray into the idea of close reading, I can only hope it was successful.  The students seem to understand the text, but I still feel a bit uncomfortable with the process.  I am hoping that by planning more close reads, I'll feel more better and more confident that my students are getting the same quality of instruction.  I feel like I did a lot of nothing!!  I feel like the students did everything- maybe that's how it's supposed to feel when you're trying to create independent thinkers and 21st century learners.  This is going to take some getting used to!!
