Reflection: Checks for Understanding Bad Boys Get Cookie--or So They Think! - Section 3: Assessment


Even when I take the time to explain each section of the graphing worksheet, I found that some students did not quite understand what they were supposed to do.  I tried not to give too much information to the students because I was using this as an assessment.  Trying to find a balance between too much direction and not enough direction can be tricky.  I chose to collect the worksheets and then during a quiet time, I would call up the students, one at a time, to talk about their pictures and what they learned.
