Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Target Audience - Section 1: Target Audience

During the discussion of possible target audiences, I stressed the importance of finding a specific audience – not just teenagers, adults, people over 15, everyone,  etc.  Although the ad might appeal to numerous people, there is a specific group that the advertisers are focusing upon.  I give the example of my daughter’s radio show – it is targeted at women between the ages of 25 – 35.  However, I listen to it, junior high school students listen to it.
